After winning multiple titles as a professional StarCraft player, Sean "Day[9]" Plott transitioned to sharing his sense of humor and passion for strategy games on Twitch and YouTube in 2009.
As one of gaming’s earliest content creators, Sean has become a widely recognized and respected voice in the community. His autobiographical video "My Life of StarCraft" resonated with early fans as a powerful and eloquent defense of gaming, and has amassed over 4 million views. This authenticity, combined with his thoughtful, analytic demeanor and his current role as CEO of his own game studio, has earned him enormous credibility with his audience.
Sean has also hosted some of gaming’s biggest live events, including every PC Gaming Show since its inception in 2015, Dota 2’s The International, as well as numerous Magic: The Gathering Mythic Championships, StarCraft II tournaments, and BlizzCon panels.
His accolades include: PC Gamer’s “Gamer of the Year” (2010), Forbes “30 Under 30” for Entertainment (2011) and Games (2014), The Guardian’s “Biggest Star in Esports” (2013), and Golden Joysticks’ “Gaming Personality of the Year” (2016). His work has been featured by NPR, The Economist, PCWorld, Kotaku, and Business Insider.
